Brief Answer:
seems to be viral pharyngitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having throat pain. I would like to know if you have fever or head-ache ?

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be pharyngitis secondary to viral fever. I would suggest you start salt water gargle. Continue z pack and cortisone as per your treating doctor. You will feel better by starting tylenol cold and flu tablets.

Viral fevers are self limiting, it takes time to resolve. In case of persistence, you need to see an ent surgeon to rule out other causes.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
