Question: Hi. I'm a 31 year old male and had unprotected anonymous oral sex with some 20 year old looking guy two days ago. His penis and mouth contacted my anus and he penetrated me with his thumb. I'm afraid to have crontracted an Std but more fearful of HIV. I'm really freaking out and feel symptoms all of a sudden. The next day I was itchy all over my body head and face but no visible rash. I was hyperventilating and got flu like symptoms and sore throat the very next day. Another thing I noticed is that my tongue and back of my mouth are white but no itching just sore throat. I don't know what it means and I'm going crazy nervous.

Brief Answer:
the symptoms you have could be many things but dont sound like HIV

Detailed Answer:
thank you so much for asking your question on healthcare magic. I will do my best to help.

it is possible to get an STD from oral sex, but HIV is not something that causes symptoms like you describe, and never that soon after being exposed. it may be that you contracted something like gonorrhea or chlamydia which can cause sore throat and you should be tested. fortunately, these can be easily treated and cured with antibiotics if you test positive.

of course there are many other possible explanations that may not be related to sex at all. after all, there are many reasons for rashes, itching. sore throat etc.. that have nothing to do with sex.

however, in order to alleviate your concerns and get proper treatment, you should see your doctor and be tested. this way you can know for sure what is going on and get treated properly so you can move on with life and not have to be so worried.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions.

Brief Answer:
risk is very small but not impossible

Detailed Answer:
thanks again for your question.

based on your description, it doesn't sound like there was much if any transfer of body fluids. so the risk of HIV transmission is quite small. however, i can't say it is impossible. remember that you also don't know if the person even had HIV or any STDs. so I really doubt you got HIV, but there is no way I can guarantee that. so I still think you should get tested.

even if I could be 99% certain, that is still not the same as 100%. but of you do get tested. the. you will know for sure.

I hope this helps calm your nerves at least a little bit. let me know if you need any more help.
