What Causes Sore Throat, Ear Pain, Headache And Sinus Drainage In The Throat?

Question: Hi, I have a sore throat, ear ache, headache and lots of sinus draining down my throat. I didn't get much sleep because I kept waking myself up with throat snoring and I usually don't snore.

Looking at your symptoms,you are probably suffering from Upper respiratory tract infection with secondary involvement of ear.

For advising medication,I wanted to ask you whether you are suffering from Hypertension or any other disease or taking any medication.

Thank you for your reply. I do not suffer from hypertension. I had Lyme disease about a year ago and took three weeks of doxycycline and don't believe I've had any symptoms since then.

The medications I am currently taking are 400 mg of progesterone each day and I have estrogen and testosterone pellets inserted in my hip. These are bio identical hormones and I've been using them for 14 months. I am on no other medication besides supplements and suffer from no other diseases.

You may find relief by taking the following medications:
Antibiotic like Azithromycin,
Analgesic with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen,
Antacid like Rantac,
Antihistaminic like Cetrizine,
Decongestant like Pseudoephedrine,
Decongestant nasal drops like Oxymetazoline.

Drink lots of warm fluids.
Avoid cold food and dust.
Do warm saline gargles.
Do steam inhalation.
