Brief Answer:
Strep throat to determine by following tests...

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

I understand your concern.

The redness on the back of your mouth and tonsils are suggestive of tonsillitis (infected tonsils).

They are the first gate to fight infection in our body. You might have had viral infection at first, then, has precipitated into bacterial infection of tonsils.

Cefdinir is an antibiotic supposed to help with infection. As it won't, then further test is advised to rule out strep throat: quick swab test and culture of swab and sensitivity testing to determine the right antibiotic to use.

Good oral hygiene is also important together with following:
- gargle with warm water and salt
- can gargle with olive oil
- applying honey on mouth can also help

Do not forget to use antiinflammatory meds like ibuprofen to reduce swelling and pain.

Keep well hydrated.

Wish fast recovery!

Not serious, but it will take a few more days to last

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

No my dear it is not serious. But it will take a few more days to last. Just confirm it is strept and then take the antibiotics as per sensitivity testing.
