What Causes Soreness And Pain In The Shoulder?
I have no idea what a heart attack would be like.
I dont ever have chest pain and Ive never experienced chest pain.
The soreness or achiness in the shoulder feels like its at the front balls of my shoulder and my traps.
Its often my right shoulder and im right handed.
I also notice that its often while laying down or driving. Its never really what i would call painful but more of a soreness and achiness
and i would say at its worst a 2 out of 10 on a pain scale.
Its also pretty random and not that frequent,
Maybe 2-3 times per month, sometimes once every 3 months. Its just random.
Random aches also hit other parts of my body like legs, hands, forearms and back.
The first several times i went to the ER and ecg was normal every time.
My last ecg was about 7-8 months ago and it was normal sinus.
Ive gone to the ER for this probably 5-6 times in the last 4-5 years.
I do get sweaty too which scares me but im not sweaty at the same time as i have achiness. I also feel like i XXXXXXX or take a deep breath sometimes but not really when i have pain.
Ive probably had these symptoms in some shape or form for honestly a decade.
Every ache or pain sends me thinking the worst.
Ive been told anxiety multiple times by local doctors but how would i know the difference?
Im also 42 years old, im not fat, BP is always ok at drs office.
It could be anxiety with secondary somatization
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
From the available description it appears to me that you are suffering with anxiety disorder with secondary somatization. The pains in this order are same like other disorder but on repeated examination and testing nothing abnormal found. At the same time persons with this disorder have excessive concern about otherwise minor ailments and find it difficult to get convince with their health care professionals.
I also like to inform you that pains due to heart attack are often located on left side and rarely on right side.
Since your every ER visit recorded normal ECG it is time to get help for your anxiety. There is good possibility that your psychiatrist will be able to make a diagnosis and proper treatment as effective treatment options are available for anxiety.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
