What Causes Soreness In Arm Radiating To Shoulder?

Question: Hi .. I have a tired feelin in my right arm only it comes an goes right from my shoulder down to fingers with slight pins and needles.. What could this be?? I'm also only after having a preemie baby 12 weeks ago if this helps. I might get the felling every half hour for a few minutes.

Thanks for your query.

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

After going through your query I concluded that you may be having muscular pain right upper limb due to overexertion as you have recently had a baby. Overexertion may be related to use of right upper limb more in nursing the baby. Its treatment is rest to your right upper limb and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Vitamin B And C is helpful is recovery.
To see other causes you need to do MRI cervical spine as compression can give rise to pins and needles.
As you has no problem in left upper limbs and both lower limb so it is unlikely be due to systemic problems such as diabetes and thyroid disease , but you can get investigated for these problem.

You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
