Oral sores
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for putting up the query
oral ulcers can be due to many reasons..in your case as you are quitting smoking, nicotine withdrawl leads to indigestion that can furthur cause oral ulcers, secondly they can be due to bad oral hhygiene or vitamin deficiency..
It would be of great help in diagnosis if yiu send me the pictures of the lesions..
For now take vit C 500 once daily
hexidine mouth wash
multivitamin syrup
oral antifungal paint like candid mouthpaint
avoid eating spices, or hard drinks
drink plenty of water
please up with the pictures
and I appreciate your efforts for quitting a bad habit..

I have tried to get pictures, but they are so far back on my tongue that I can't get any that show the sores. Brush and floss daily with dental appointments every 6 months. No real pain, can eat and drink normally and swallow.

Hi
Thanks for the question
As you said you maintain a very good oral hygiene and you don't have any symptoms too..you can relax because there are few physiological changes that happen with taking up or quitting a particular thing
i would advise you to use mouthwash regularly and if still you have a doubt, an examination by an expert is the best resolution
have a nice day
you are always welcome with any further questions
