Possible pinched nerve.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
What you are describing seems like a pinched nerve. The spasms are characteristic of the stimulation of the nerve. Maybe this have started because of a movement you have done. It needs rest now and time to heal.
My recommendation is that you take Ibuprofen 400mg 1-2 tablets every 6 hours, for 1 weeks. Make sure that Ibuprofen is not contraindicated for you, for any other health issue you may have.
Also, using Ice locally may be helpful.
Use local analgesic in the area, 3-4 times/day.
If worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor. In that case you will need a physical exam and further testing for evaluation and correct treatment.
If you start having cough, shortness of breath, blurred vision, ect...then consider going to the ER as soon as possible.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.
Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
