What Causes Spotting Along With Missed Period, Fatigue And Headache?
I'm currently trying to fall pregnant. This month on the day my period was due I only got spotting followed by a very light day of bleeding then it stopped ( quite the shock as my periods are always regular and lasting the same about of days) I have some symptoms
Bloating, Nausea, tender breasts, fatigue, headaches and mild cramps that come and go.
According to the first day of my last menstrual cycle (7th March)I would be 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant.
I tested this morning and it was negative could it be possible that my hcg levels are too low to read on the pregnancy test? Am I testing to early?Or perhaps I'm just not pregnant at all?
Thank you I really appreciate your answer.
You are most likely not pregnant
Detailed Answer:
Hello, and I hope I can help you today.
Pregnancy symptoms can vary widely between women, and many of the same symptoms people attribute to pregnancy (like bloating, breast tenderness, spotting and mood changes) are also common in an irregular or delayed period because of hormonal irregularities.
Furthermore, the stress of trying to become pregnant may actually cause irregular bleeding patterns.
So the most common sign of pregnancies is a missed (completely) menstrual cycle.
A pregnancy test will be positive even the first day of a missed period. Sometimes women bleed during early pregnancy, but that typically occurs later once your pregnancy test is already positive.
So in your case, since you did not miss a period, even though you didn't bleed as much as usual, you can assume the results of your pregnancy test is correct and you are not pregnant.
You should retest of at least four weeks (or longer) go by without any vaginal bleeding.
85 percent of couples will conceive within one year of having regular (at least 2-3 times weekly) unprotected intercourse. There is no reason to be concerned until you have been trying for at least a year, especially if you are under the age of 35.
