What Causes Spotting Before Periods?
Question: Hi
Last month my period started on 29th July. I supposed to get my period again on 26th August.
But from 19th August I'm observing spotting/bleeding. The spotting is very less and in dark brown color and no pain. I used to have pain during my regular periods. Today also I observed slight bleeding but no pain,
Please clarify me, is my period started early? Or is it implantation period ?
For the past three months may, XXXXXXX and July I've taken familion tablets and stopped from 25th July.
Am I pregnant?? Can I take blood test to confirm pregnancy??

Welcome to health care magic,
If you are taking oral contraceptive (femilon) regularly then there is least chances of having pregnancy and also on 19th August you were in safe zone,so by that means you should not be having pregnancy or implantation.
Therefore,it could be due to OC pills which has a side effects to ir-regularise of menstruations and also these all cycles were without ovulation.
So,as per calculations you should not get pregnant.
However,you can do home urine pregnancy testing to be in a safer side and especially if you had a unprotected intercourse between 11th august to 16th august.(which all are your fertile periods.)
You should wait for another 5 to 7 days until the normal menstruation starts.
In case not then see gynaecologist urgently.

Actually we are trying to have a baby. For this reason only I stopped taking femilion tablets. We had intercourse from 9th to 16th August.
I tried a home urine test for pregnancy on 18th August, the result is negative.
But one thing wondering me is how come I am having bleeding 9 days prior to my actual period. The bleeding is less when compared to my actual period bleeding.
Is this my regular period occurred early?
Or
Am I pregnant? Is this implementation bleeding?
Or
Is this a side effect of femilion pills.
If this is a regular period, please tell me the dates for possible conception in the next month.

As I told earlier you were in fertile period between 11th to 16th august and also had intercourse in that period as stated by you.
Ideally urine pregnancy test should be done after 15 days of expected fertilization day.
In your case it would be after 27th August 2015.
You did the tests on 18th which it too early to give accurate result.So,I would advice you to do again after 1 week.
It seems your early periods has started from 19th august (which is the likely possibility) and the reason could be your femilon pills withdrawal.
Here, I will advise you to go for Urine pregnancy testing again on 28th august for more accurate result.
In case the result will come negative, which would indicate that you are not pregnant.
Then,your menstrual period starting date is 19th and your conception or fertile zone will be between 1st sept to 6th September.
Consult gynecologist if you experience heavy bleeding or clots.
