What Causes Stomach Bloating And Loss Of Appetite?
Question: Hello Doctor, I am experiencing stomach bloating and loss of appetite since last 2 months. A month back I had problem of severe acidity and vomitting for which my doctor gave Domstal for 1 week. My acidity and vomitting stopped. After a gap of few days I had loose motions. My doctor suggested to get stool test done which showed I had Bacterial infection with presence of occult blood. My doctor gave me 5 day course of Oflox Tz. There is no infection after that but still i experienced uneasiness in my stomch. I visited gastroenterologist who gave me a 10 day course of Neksium, Colospa and econorm. Still I experience some burning sensation in my stomach occasionally towards right side. But my appetite is back to normal. Kindly suggest.

Brief Answer:
If possible get an ultrasound abdomen to know any other cause
Detailed Answer:
HI,
So you had an gastroenterities for which you have taken treatment, but what happens after this condition is there may be a bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine even after taking treatment, just continue econorm and neksium for few more days and you can consider to take Tab Rifagut 400 mg for 10 days, its an intestinal antibiotic with no sideeffects.
Avoid spicy and junk food.
And if possible you can get an ultrasound abdomen to rule out any other cause for the symptoms you have.
Hope this information help you
Thank you.
