Brief Answer:
You are experiencing nicotine withdrawal symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail and my congratulations for taking a positive step by deciding to quit smoking.

There are many stages and every day of smoke free life will take you a step closer to good health and disease free existence.

On the day you quit, you might have felt intense cravings, anxiety, tension, or frustration, drowsiness or trouble sleeping and increased appetite. These are expected and not to get worried about.,

On the next day your heart disease risk starts decreasing and your heart pumps more pure blood.

After 48 hours, you start experiencing a better sense of taste and smell because of growth of nerve endings in the brain.

After 3 days, you get nicotine withdrawal symptoms. These are physical symptoms such as headaches, nausea, or cramps. You are going through this stage at present and there is no cancer or any other problem.

You must carry on the fight against smoking. Please do not touch a single cigarette and in the next two weeks you will feel the difference. You are ready to start a healthy and disease free life.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
