What Causes Stomach Cramps Post Child Delivery?

I am 33 weeks pregnant with twins. Since some days I am having mild cramping in my stomach. My doctor has advised me to take Duvadilan 10 mg tablets thrice a day for 1 month. Is it safe to go ahead with these tablets and prescribed dosage? Also, will it have any side effects on my babies? Earlier I was thinking these cramps are XXXXXXX XXXXXXX contractions and does not require any medication, but since my doctor prescribed this medicine I am worried if I will go into a preterm labor. Please advice.
No serious side effects on fetus.
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concern.
Duvadilan contains Isoxuprine as the active ingredient. this is a smooth muscle relaxant. Your doctor has prescribed this in anticipation of preterm labor(the drug relaxes uterine smooth muscle and prevent preterm contractions).
Regarding side effect on fetus, this is a pregnancy category C drug(no serious side effects on fetus and can be used in times of necessity).
So, if indicated, there is no serious harm in continuing the drug in the prescribed dosage.
Anyhow, if you are so worried and the cramps are not much disturbing, you can discuss with your doctor after about 1-2 weeks to consider withdrawal.
Hope this answer will help.
If you have further questions, I will be happy to help.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.

Yes, you can.

Hi dear,
As there is no significant interaction between the two, you can take them together.
