Brief Answer:
might be due to gastritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi lala
Welcome.
The information provided by you is very little.
I would like to know is there any associated nausea, vomiting?
Have you taken any outside food?
Is it associated with loose motions?
Is there any other medical history? Are you taking any medicines?
Do you have any acidity problem in the past?
Get back to us with this information.

It might be due to gastritis.
Presently I would suggest you avoid any spicy food, alcohol and smoking if you do. Also avoid meat for few days. Add more fibres to your diet. Eat curd. Avoid tea or coffee as they are known to increase acidity.
Take omeprazole 20 mg twice daily for five days, half an hour before food. You can also take over the counter antacid preparation.
Hope this helps
Take care

Is not associated with any vomiting or nausea.
I've been eating breakfast sandwiches in the morning, oatmeal and ham sandwiches for lunch and for supper I've been eating salads.
No loose motions, but smaller bowel movements.
No other medical history, I've been taking omeprazol
This is the first time that I've felt this pain in the upper part of my stomach
