What Causes Stomach Pain After Having Gudcef Cv For Throat Infection?
Question: I am having throat infection and cough and fever, My doctor prescribed GUDCEF CV 200mg tabs. I had 3 of them ( One yesterday night, One in the morning and one after lunch ), I am having very bad stomach pain and it agravates when ever I have some thing to eat. Can you suggest some immediate remedy

In my opinion, you might be having drug induced gastritis.
Take gudcef cv once in morning and once in night after food along with glass of milk.
In most cases, i would recommend that for immediate relief of stomach pain, proton pump inhibitors + prokinetcs drug like pantodac -DSR one before food. Also, sometimes I recommend Gelusil syrup 3 tsp thrice daily for my patients. Such medicines would normally be taken as long as the patient is taking antibiotics.
