Brief Answer:
gastritis / IBS , supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Stomach pain relieved for a while after eating, with diarrhea, nausea, vertigo indicates a gastric discomfort likely gastritis and your work routine till 3 am has a role in it. Sleep cycle plays important role in bowel habits and when that is compromised or disturbed, bowel functions decline and these symptoms happen.

I would like you to try some pepto, nexium and eat small frequent meals, Avoid spices, dairy products , processed foods etc. Its good that you eat organic food and avodi alcohol. Add beer , beverages, tea coffee to it as well. Eat yogurt and peppermint with the diet.

Nutshell, some antacids, diet lifestyle adjustments will help out. Talk to your gastroenterologist for further guidance.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Thank you for your response. Sorry, I should have explained that I normally work one week of days (730-1530 hrs) and the next week of middles(1530 -2330 hrs). Today, I'm working 12 hours - the overtime is till 0330 am. I work in a 911 center. I do, however, often stay up till 1 or 2 am when at home. I will adjust that to get to sleep earlier.

Also, I don't drink beer or coffee (and I am a non-smoker)- but I'm a heavy tea drinker. Mostly green tea and red raspberry leaf tea (both organic). Also drink Braggs Amino Acids in hot water and instant Miso soup. Is this ok? I also have peppermint tea at home, is this ok? Will up the yogurt consumption. I also occasionally drink organic sauerkraut juice packaged in a glass jar. I currently have some in the pantry. Is that ok to drink now?

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to staff this Website. I appreciate that you made it easy for me to get advise today. This is my first time using any Website and this was a surprising experience. Very professional. Thank you for that.

Thank you - Mim Petresky

Brief Answer:
supportive care, minimize tea

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me

As i mentioned earleir tea is also a prt of many stimulants i mentioned, no matter what type of tea is it, you need to bring that down. And modifying it will alter your bowel habits. Its good that you also comitted to adjust your sleep routine. If you like peppermint, i told you take peppermint in yogurt, and use it as a dietary supplement with every meal, these are best combination of natural probiotics and antispasmodics, 50 % of your symptoms will resolve with just this dietray precaution.

Thank you for your feed back. I hope to see you soon again . I will be here for you. Last time, remember! fibrous diet, small frequent meals, more fluids, avoid stimulants. You may use Mayoclinic and webmd sites to reach more about diets which should be avoided in IBS.

I hope it helps.
