Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
It is understandable to be concerned about any diagnosis of cancer but if it is in the early stages then it is possible that you may be treated and cured.
Cancer is put into different stages according to any spread present (to lymph nodes or surrounding organs or distant sites).
The 5 yr survival for stage 1 is 92%. This means that 92% of persons with this stage survive at least 5 yrs.
This morning I saw a patient who had surgery and treatment for colonic cancer in 1992 and is still doing well.
The survival rates for the other stages is not as high but only sharply declines in stage 4 at 11%.
It is over 50% for all of the other stages. This means that 50% or more of persons would survive for at least 5 yrs, many a lot longer.
It is therefore possible that you can be treated effectively especially if the cancer has been caught in an early stage.
In terms of the upset stomach this would resolve on its own however using meds such as pepcid, zantac or pepto bismol would help.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
