What Causes String Pieces In Stool And Itchy Anus Along With Fishy Odor Of Stool?
Question: I have string like wiggly pieces in my stool. My anus itches intensely. It wakes me up at night. Now my poop has a fishy odor. I haven't been feeling well in the last few hours... what's going on?

There are some bacteria in the gut that produce hydrogen sulfide gas. Sometimes this gas is produced in such huge quantities that the sulfide oxidase enzyme in the wall of the gut is not able to oxidize all of it and convert it to thiosulfate. This gas has a smell of rotten eggs or fishy smell.
You need to cut down food items that contain sulfites. Sulfites are present in all juices, molasses, yellow XXXXXXX in ready made food stuffs, and red wine. Sulfites are present in lesser amounts in mashed potatoes made from dry powder, pickles, tinned shrimp, cookies,sweet chocolates, crackers, and readymade pie dough. If you have been taking these things in a good amount, then cut down the intake.
Anal itching can also be due to same infection.You can take one gram of NO worm tablet one dosage or if you do not get complete releif you can take one more tablet.In the meantime you keep applying anti itch cream to anal area.
