What Causes Subconjunctival Hemorrhage?
Question: I have seemed to have broken a blood vessel in my eye. The white portion of the inside of my eye is blood red. Should I go to the emergency room or wait until Monday to see my eye doctor!
Brief Answer:
Wait. It generally clears all by itself!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this red eye that you have reported. Blood in the eye is fairly common after eye trauma. If you are in no pains, no headaches and see well, there is no need to see a doctor right now. I will recommend that you stay calm. This blood usually clears all by itself without need for any medical intervention. Be calm and relaxed about this.
I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
