Brief Answer:
Most likely an infection, needs work up

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
Bump on the head with no trauma history which is tender to touch is most likely an infection involving lymphatics and lymph nodes.

Now how long will it stay depends on what is causing it. And to find out what is causing it it needs examination of the scalp. Most likely it will be some infection, which will resolve with some antibiotics and some scalp care.

Get to a dermatologist and let them take care of you.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

May the odds be ever in your favour.
