default
Posted on Tue, 17 Jun 2014
Question: I am 62 year old female. I have been having sudden intense bursts of pain one leg just below the knee slightly to the outside, only last for a few seconds, but very painful. Can occur when standing or sitting. I cannot do anything to duplicate the pain, just seems to come unexpectedly, but it is quite intense. for 3 days now and reoccurring more frequently. The area is only slightly tender to the touch. No recent injuries or accidents. No trouble bending, or using the leg.

Brief Answer:
Get x-ray done.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query.

Exact cause of pain can only be described by seeing the report of x-ray both knees standing in AP view. So please send me the report so that I can see the present condition of you knee joint.

Till then you can take 1 tab aceclofenac+thiocolchicoside three times a day.

Avoid squatting, upstairs as much as you can.

Apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.

I hope it helps.
