Question: I woke up Saturday morning and was barely able to make coffee. I had cold sweats and hot flashes even though it was pretty cold downstairs. This has never happened before.

Hi,

If it were a one-time occurrence, that's okay. Be calm and not get too worried. If this, however, happens again, only then would I think it actually represents a disease condition or an ongoing pathological response that warrants further evaluation. Right now, I think it was more incidental and transient that pathological.

Monitor an update me with any recurrences for review and guidance.

No it has not happened again. My wife wondered if it wasn't low blood sugar because I didn't eat dinner the night before and I have a fast metabolism but in the past I could skip dinner with no consequences. I will let you know if it happens again.
