What Causes Sudden Cold Sweats With Stomach Cramps And Intermittent Diarrhea?

Question: I either had food poisoning or just some kind of flu. Last night woke up in cold sweat with stomach craps.
Had diarrhea on and off for a few hours, but did not check stool last night. I have a sore stomach today but no diarrhea really. Have eaten nothing, do not feel bloated or constipated but just went to bathroom and had a slight diarrhea , very small stool with a tiny bit of blood......

You symptoms are suggestive of stomach bug issue.
You are probably suffering from acute infectious colitis as evident by the recent onset small volume diarrhea with traces of blood.

A stool analysis may be done to confirm the infection.
You may need a course of antibiotics.
You may get benefited by a course of ciprofloxacin and metronidazole.

Take BRAT diet (Banana, Rice, Apple sauce and Toast).
Drink fluids to remain well hydrated.
If cramps are recurring . take bentyl for relief.
