What Causes Sudden Dizziness?
Question: Friend fell down porch steps and bumped head. He has a bump and echo in one ear when speaking. The ear problem is on the opposite side from the bump on head. Slightly dizzy. Trouble staying awake but it is very late now.

The symptoms described by you seems to be alarming. A CT scan of the head has to be done to rule out either collection of blood or bleeding inside the skull and any fracture.
The earlier you do, it is better. Once, the neurological deficits sets in then treatment becomes difficult.
