What Causes Sudden Onset Of Chest Pain, High BP And Increased Pulse Rate?
Question: Sudden chest pain with increased high blood pressure and increased pulse, lasting from one minute to 90 seconds. Comes and goes. Went to ER, and all was normal. Scheduled for stress test, and 24 hour holtor monitor. Had two episodes early morning. I was diagnosed with mild aortic, and moderate tricuspid regurgitation, and have been taking one low dose aspirin daily.
Brief Answer:
A likely cause in your case is MVP or mitral valve prolapse
Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome to HCM,
A likely cause in your case is MVP or mitral valve prolapse for which a 2D Echocardiography will help. If you have MVP, there is reverse floww of blood that causes turbulence. This leads to mild chest pain, uneasiness and fast pulse.
Has MVP been ruled out in your case?

I have not been given a diagnosis. Was diagnosed with aortic and tricuspid regurgitation 11 years ago, and had taken aspirin at night for 10 years, but stopped about 9 months ago. heart rate was 92 with blood pressure of 175/99 this am.
