What Causes Sudden Unconsciousness Followed By Vomiting, Weakness, Nausea And Severe Headache?
If she actually went unconscious then, would've been good to be seen in ER
Detailed Answer:
Good afternoon. Thank you for your concern FOR YOUR FRIEND. If she actually went unconscious AT HER DESK and then, vomited after awakening I think she should've been seen immediately at the emergency room. A presentation like that could be anything from seizures to a cardiac arrhythmia or even a TIA (ministroke). It sounds as if she regained consciousness rather quickly otherwise I'm sure you would've sounded the alarm right there and then, however, again, if she actually lost consciousness then, that is a very abnormal sequence of events to occur from perfectly fine. Of course, you don't really know how "normal" she was prior to passing out at her desk but suffice it to say..even if she had been feeling badly all day long..perhaps, she took medication and because of this passed out....even more reason to get to the ER so they can run tests on the blood and discover if she is using any type of toxic or illicit substance even to control pain that needs to be ferreted out.
