Question: my mum has just been hospitalised she is having bad problems with swallowing in particular her food doctors say they cannot find the problem but there must be some problem there that they are not looking for can you please help

There are many causes for swallowing difficulty at this age. There may be some local problem like tumor or muscle problem, or a brain or nerve problem.

To ascertain the cause, we need to tests like endoscopies, CT scans, swallowing tests, etc.

If still no cause found, then it may be age-related degeneration.

If you can share with me all the tests done so far, with the results, I can guide you better.
