What Causes Swelling Above The Eye With Pus Build Up After Injury?
This indicates hematoma and infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.
It seems from the history that you are having swelling above the eye with pus build up inside with a cut wound and swelling following injury.
The swelling is because of hematoma as a result of collection of blood in the layers of skin as a result of injury. The pus inside indicates infection resulting in abscess.
The treatment of the condition is by use of oral antibiotic drugs and oral antiinflammatory drugs.
Since there is a cut wound it may require suturing if the wound is deep.
I went through the photo attached with the question and both the wounds appear deep and may require suturing.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination to know whether it requires suturing and treatment accordingly.
Hence as of now you need to start using antibiotic drugs and you need to consult your doctor for treatment accordingly.
Hope the information is helpful to you.
Thank you

Swelling is due to collection of pus or blood.

Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.
Combiflam and Cipzen are anti-inflammatory drugs and they reduce edema and other inflammatory symptoms. Hence you can continue them.
The increase in swelling can be because of collection of blood which occurs because of impact of injury resulting in bleeding or because of infection resulting in accumulation of pus.
Hence this requires antibiotic drugs along with anti-inflammatory drugs. Since the edema is present both oral antibiotics and topical antibiotic eye ointments are required.
Along with this since the cut wound appears to be deep it may require suturing to prevent formation of bad scar.
Hence do consult your doctor for examination and treatment of the cut wound.
Hope the information is helpful to you.
