What Causes Swelling And Bleeding From Penis Head After Having Sex?
Question: I was having sex 6 days ago and something didn't feel right. We stopped and I was horrified that it was extremely swollen with blood pooling at ring under head and all was purple. I iced it and saw my dr the next morning. He pressed on all areas and I felt no pain. He thus said it was a burst blood vessel. The discoloration is receding and I am able to get an erection. My girlfriend said let's abstain for a couple of weeks. We'll i masturbated today with no problem getting an erection but there is slight twinge of pain and burning when ejacualting. I do take 1ml testosterone injections 1xweek. Levels are normal and been taking for three years. My dr gave me Viagra as I was divorced last year and nervous shout getting back into the saddle. It's 100mg tablets that I cut in half. I've been using with my girlfriend for several months and wonderful erections! Sometimes I take 100mg and I did the other night. Did this lead to my injury? Will it simply heal in time? Or do I need to go to a urologist?

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you had bleeding while having sex six days back.
This usually happens due to one of the following two reasons.
1)Rupture of dorsal vein of penis when veins are fully engorged on erection and one attempts to have rough sexual encounter.
2)Due to fracture of penis .
Since it has resolved and now you are getting good hard erection after 2-3 days nothing is to to be worried about.It is likely that torned vein has sealed up naturally and no need consult Urologist now.
As regards your doubt it to be due to more dose of Viagra I would state that the erection is not dose related and it can not be due to Viagra.
Please take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefexine along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.
Always ensure to have safe and smooth enjoyable sex .
