What Causes Swelling And Pain In Upper Part Of The Lower Arm?

Considerations
Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.
Regarding the pain and swelling of your arm there are a couple of considerations. One thing that could be going on is inflammation of the tendon which attaches your muscle to bone. This can sometimes cause swelling and pain.this is triggered by repetitive motion or exertion.
Another possible consideration is disruption of blood flow or a blood clot. This can cause swelling and pain as well.
If your symptoms have developed relatively rapidly I would recommend that you make an appointment with your primary care physician for a focused consultation and physical examination.your doctor believes this is more of an inflammatory process then he may recommend some type of anti-inflammatory medication. If a blood clot is suspected your doctor might consider performing in ultrasound to evaluate bloodflow in your arm.
Thank you again for sending your question. I do think this is something you should talk to your doctor about soon.
Sincerely,
Dr. Galamaga
