What Causes Swelling And Phlegm In The Throat?

Question: My throat feels like it is swollen around my voice box. I do not have any problem eating or drinking or a sore throat, just feels like there is phlegm but I can't seem to force it up.
Brief Answer:
laryngo-pharyngeal reflux
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir
The ingested food/or the mucous regurgitates near the voice box and causes blocked sensation and in worst scenario--> hoarse voice/stridor and malignant transformation in foodpipe/throat
I suggest to take PPI drugs like lanzoprazole 40 mg twice a day for two weeks.
Also suggest Tab.mucinex 300mg twice a day for a week which helps to expectorate the mucous..
Hope this helps.happy to clear if any doubts or else close discussion by rating it..Future queries are welcome in the address bitly.com/Dr-senduran
