Question: My husbands mole he had forever on his face felt swollen around it and the other day he used an exfoliater and super scrubbed his face and it bled a little

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

The commonest cause of such an appearance of swelling around the mole can be an infection cause by minor/ trivial trauma.

There is also history of using exfoliater and super scrubbing.

This being on the face, it is better to take a small course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines.

This should the problem and please ask him not to touch t till completely recovered.

If the problem arose before scrubbing, it is better to get an excision done so that HPE (Histopathological examination) can be done.
