What Causes Swelling Below The Knee?

Most possible a varicose vein- may be a clot there. Rule out.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I saw your photo.
It looks like it may be a swollen vein (varicose inflamed vein) or a lipoma (fat tissue gathered in form of a lump) there.
To rule out which of those is I would recommend that you do a ultrasound of the vessels of the leg, which will determine if there is a clot or an enlargement of the veins there. This is very important, especially if there is painful in touch.
IF the ultrasound it normal, and the swelling is soft in touch, depending on the consistency, it may be a cyst or a lipoma as I said above. A doctor's exam will tell for sure what is it.
At last, you might have bumped it somewhere but do not remember how and where...happens sometimes.
These are the possible causes of what I see there. The first one is very important to rule out because may have many complications for example the clot may travel in the lungs, brain, ect and cause permanent damage.
So, if worse or not better, I would recommend seeing a local doctor.
Hope this is helpful.
