What Causes Swelling In Feet Upon Waking?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Exclude erysipelas, an acute infection. Need antibiotics, anti inflammatory
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query
what you present with, especially with a rash is generally a rapidly spreading bacterial infection, affecting the lower limbs called erysipelas
in most persons the swollen is accompanied by fever, pain and redness. left untreated the infection can spread to the whole body leading to sepsis at times dangerous.
I suggest you get the limb immobilized and take injections of antibiotics like ceftriazone and anti-inflammatory drugs like diclofenac. If confirmed by your doctor, anticoagulants could be prescribed to avoid clot formation in swollen limbs that are immobilized.
I suggest you see an emergency care service or primary care doctor to exclude this potentially serious condition.
thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health.
