Brief Answer:
Non specific back pain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I do not see a relation ship between the back pain that you describe and the swelling at the left ankle joint.
If you are standing too much for more than one hour continously you may experience them. In such a case you can take a short step of stool and place the left leg on it. This reduces the stress on the lower back muscles.
If you are not standing too much and still experience what you said it would be good to get an Xray of the lumbar spine for initial evaluation.
You can apply VOLINI gel over the waist line for quick relief. Alternatively the safest medicine would be tab DOLO one tablet whenever you have pain.

Thank you for the query and let me know if you have further inquiry.

Dear doctor
1. Regarding back pain I'm getting it whenever I sit for long time. I'm not getting any pain when I stand or lying position.
2. The swelling in foot and ankle started from past two days.

I used zorodol tablet for relieve back pain.

There may not be relation between both but I'm not able to diagnose the reason for swelling of foot.

Please suggest

Brief Answer:
Prolonged sitting can cause swelling

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

Prolonged sitting can cause swelling as well as back pain. Our body is not designed to sit for more than 30 minutes. That is why it is important to get up every 30 to 40 min walk for two minutes to seat again.
If there is prolonged sitting the muscles will not be able to pump the venous blood back to the heart. The muscles in the legs should be very active to pump the blood against gravity. If there is more blood accumulated in the lower limbs that too dependent area like foot, there is oozing of lymph into the spaces in between.
I also suggest you to check for serum protein, serum calcium, Hemoglobin and Serum Iron(ferritin) at the local lab. Please let me know the reports.

For now keep yourself active every 30 minutes. It will relieve the swelling and the back pain. Zerodol is not necessary you may take simple DOLO and back massage when possible. Hot showers at the end of the day also help for the pain.

All the best. If you do not have any more queries please close our discussion.
