If your lips swelled up after taking Colace then its possible that you are allergic to its contents. Benedryl or hydroxyzine can be taken immediately. They are antihistamines that would counter such an allergic reaction. If the swelling subsides then non sedating anti histamines can be continued for a week. If the swelling persists or worsens progressively and there are additional symptoms such as shortness of breath or voice changes and extensive rash then ER assessment would be required to administer steroids and most importantly secure the airway.
