What Causes Swelling In Penis Head And Dry Skin Problems At Thigh Joints?
Question: I am a diabetic from 2 years. I am having skin problems from some time especially dry skin problems at thigh joints. Now Recently felt my penis head is swollen and dry skin. Im uncircumcised dry skin giving cracks. Felt little panic. Saw some information on google abt balanitis. Dont knw why this problem occurred. what medicine shall i use and whom shall i contact sex specialist or dermatologist or any other doctor?

I have gone through your history and reviewed the attached photographs.
You seem to be suffering from candidal balanitis which is a fungal infection.
This condition is very common in diabetics especially if the blood glucose control is not very good.
Also seen in uncircumcised males due to warm and moist conditions.
In such cases I recommend my patients to maintain personal hygiene and apply Clotrimazole cream on the affected area twice daily for 2 weeks.
If associated with itching I recommend them to take antihistaminic like tablet Chlorpheniramine 4 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
I don't know whether these medicines will be available as over the counter in your country.
