What Causes Swelling In Stomach And Pain In Breast After Taking Contraceptive Pill?

Need more information.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I will be able to give a proper opinion if you can furnish me a little more information. I would like to know when you had your last period, if you had any sexual contact during the fertile period, if you took any emergency pill and if you are on any other medication.
I presume from the information provided that you may have taken an emergency contraceptive pill and hence had two periods in a month, one being the withdrawal and the other being the normal period. You have symptoms which you suspect could be due to early pregnancy and you wish to have an opinion.
You can get a trans-vaginal sonogram and a blood test for pregnancy and see a specialist for a proper clinical evaluation and further help.
Hope your query has been answered. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.
regards,

Please get a blood test for pregnancy done.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
In the current scenario, you need to exclude a normal scanty period from an early pregnancy with an implantation bleed. This can be done through the blood test of serum beta-hCG titre estimation.
A trans-vaginal sonogram may also be done after another week to give additional benefit.
Hope I have answered your query. Please get back if you need more information. I will be ready to help.
regards,
Shanti.V.

Implantation bleed is not heavy.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing again.
Implantation bleed is not heavy. It may mimic a normal period sometimes but the flow is usually slight.
Since you have had quite irregular periods after stopping the pill, your hormonal imbalance needs correction. This can be done after exclusion/confirmation of pregnancy through a blood test and a sonogram.
Bloating of the stomach can be due to the hormone excess and need not necessarily be due to pregnancy. It can also be a premenstrual symptom.
Hope all your queries have been answered. Please contact if you need any more information. I will be glad to help.
Wish you good health.
regards,
Shanti.V.
