What Causes Swelling In Testicles In A Person With Varicoceles?

default
Posted on Mon, 11 Jan 2016
Question: I have been diagnosed with varicose seal and hydro seal.Had surgery almost 50 years ago. My right testicle has always been much larger. My urologist took a scan almost 2 years ago but advised me not to have the surgery. Lately,by the end of the day I have increased swelling. Is this an indication that I should have the surgery? The right testicle is 4-5 times larger than the left.

Brief Answer:
Consult other Urologist for second opinion and reeat scrotal scan again .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been known to have Hydrocele and Varicocele on Right side and 2 years back your Urologist has advised you not to go for surgery .

In view of your Rt testicle being 4-5 times larger than Left one I would suggest you to consult other Urologist for second opinion and repeat your scrotal scan for present situation ..Further decision as regards need for surgery will be decided by him based on clinical and findings of Scrotal scan.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
