What Causes Swelling In The Left Side Of The Face?

Question: Minor facial swelling, left side, from lower nose area down to just above chin, about a half inch wide,on the side of a crease in my skin. I am overweight. I am 5'10" tall and weight 232, no clothing. I have been dieting, using a protein shake meal sub for some breakfast and lunch, eat a healthy meal for supper, small reasonable servings sizes. I have lost 14 lbs in 3 weeks. I am exercising rigorously 2,3 times a week, using cable type weight training machines. My blood pressure stays around 128/78; taking 1/2 a tablet of HCT daily. I wear an full upper denture that has been irritating upper mouth, but that is subsiding. I am 76 years old. This could be sagging skin from weight loss, but the one-sidedness has me concerned. My wife says she can barely see the difference. I think the swelling has slightly increased since I first noticed it 3 days ago.
Brief Answer:
Swelling possibly related to Denture malaligament.
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir
I can certainly understand your concern.
This swelling could partially be related to the improper denture alignment.
This requires denture realignment and a short course of oral antibiotics for 5 days.
These interventions can possibly improve your symptoms.
Please check with your dentist if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.
