Question: My father had angioplasty and had two stents placed in his heart. He has had a swollen leg and had met the doctor who changed his medicines. Now he has got swollen lips. What could be the cause, although we are planning to show the doctor tomorrow. Is it a cause for emergency visit?

Hello,

It could be urticarial or allergy reaction. There might be multiple medications that he is on. A drug-drug interaction could be caused. The reasons cannot be evaluated correctly without good history.
Since you are prepared to go to a doctor visit tomorrow, just observe him tonight carefully. If he develops breathing trouble, unable to catch air through nose/mouth rush him to the Emergency.
Else you can wait out till tomorrow appointment.
