Brief Answer:
It may take around 2-4 weeks to breathe freely

Detailed Answer:
Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.

It is normal to have a swelling inside the nose and even over the face after Septal surgery.

It will take around 7-10 days for the swelling to settle and 2-4 weeks to breathe freely.

The yellow colour at the site of turbinate removal seems to be a mild pus discharge due to infection.
Apply antibiotic ointment like Mupirocin over the site.
Use decongestant nasal spray like Oxymetazoline for a few days(around 5 days).
Use saline nasal spray.(you can use it for 3-4 weeks). It will help to moisten the inner nasal cavity and remove the crusting.
Also use oral Antibiotics and Antiinflammatory with an Antacid, which your surgeon would have already prescribed you.

Hope this answers your question.I would be happy to answer you in case of any further queries.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
No,it has never happened

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thank you for your further query.
I have never seen any patient who has suffered from permanent congestion in the nose after surgery.

It will take around 4 weeks to have complete recovery after nasal surgery and have complete breathing without any congestion.
