Which doctor i should consult?
what are the remedies for curing it
Consult ENT specialist, aspiration cytology required
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
Swelling of cheek bones just before the ears appears to be parotid swelling.
Parotid glands are a pair of salivary glands present just before the ears.
Swelling of parotid glands can occur due to infection, inflammation or neoplastic growth of the salivary glands.
In order the know the nature of these swellings, an aspiration cytology is suggested.
In aspiration cytology, the cells are aspirated from the mass, spread on a glass slide and stained with appropriate stains.
The stained cells are studied microscopically to assess the type of lesion.
Depending on the type of lesion, further management can be planned.
For clinical assessment and relevant investigations, an ENT specialist should be consulted..
Thanks
