What Causes Swelling Of Frenulum After Masturbation?

Question: After masturbation, my frenulum area swells and my foreskin doesn't go back because of that. Also, the head of the penis swells a lot due to which my foreskin doesn't come back during/ after masturbation for a long time. Also, the head dries quickly once its out. All these things add to the pain during masturbation due to which it is not enjoyable. I had a habit of masturbating by just rubbing the head instead of pulling my skin back. So now even when erected fully, there is a folded skin between my head and shaft showing that penis is not fully erect. Was trying to have sex for the first time yesterday but it wasn't enjoyable and condom got dettached by itself.

Swelling of frenulum can be due to irritation and oversensitivity due to your strokes during masturbation.

You can apply water based lubricants like KY jelly and try. If that doesn't work, a steroid ointment application for 2 to 4 weeks would be helpful.

Even after this, if there is no improvement then you should approach a general surgeon for circumcision which will clear up all your problems.

I am a student studying abroad. How long is the healing process for circumcision? I live alone and don't wanna tell this to my parents. Also, please tell me something about the swelling of the head of the penis? According to what I've read everything is related. Due to folding of skin and swelling, blood doesn't reach the head properly causing it to swell more, which is what scares me more. Also, are the ointments or steroids permanent solution? Because, the swelling of head always happens since forever. Frenulum swelling happens rarely though.

It is due to over sensitivity or abnormal folding of foreskin you have. In such case corticosteroid ointment application and stretching for 1 month may help you. If it is not helping then circumcision is the best solution. The abnormal foldings may irritate the frenulum again. Frenulum is more sensitive in uncircumcised men. Normal cases irritation will be absent. Circumcision will take longer time than children for healing in adults. It will take 2 weeks to heal and around 1 month to normalize the sensitivity of penis.

By stretching exercise you mean: stretching in and out during shower? Should I use any other medication? Can also suggest me some ointment to remove bacterial or fungal infection near head. Till the age of 24, I haven't cleaned my head ever. Just got to know that we need to clean it as well, otherwise it causes infection in that region. Perhaps, sensitivity is also because of the infection. Also, can I use this discussion as medical prescription?

You can do stretching in and out during shower or while cleaning several times.You can clean your penis with warm water or saline and apply antifungal clotrimazole ointment for local application.It is better to avoid soap and other cleaning liquids as it may increase the irritation and sensitivity.You can get steroid ointment with combination of clotrimazole for using.
