Brief Answer:
Rheumatoid Arthritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question.

You ankles certainly look swollen on the photograph you showed.

Your symptoms are consistent with an inflammatory arthritis such as Rheumatoid Arthritis. This is an autoimmune condition where your own body attacks the lining to your joints making them swollen and inflamed. You can also have a rash in this and similar conditions.

The diagnosis can be made on blood tests. Treatment usually starts with an anti-inflammatory medication. Other stronger drugs can be used if an anti-inflammatory dose not deal with your symptoms (DMARDS). Joint injections with steroids are sometimes required.

You should present to your Dr again as the treatment prescribed has not dealt with your condition and further investigation and treatment is required.

I hope this answers your question.

Best wishes
