What Causes Swelling On The Arm Of A Child Post BCG Vaccination Indicate?

Question: It has been 45 days now since my newly-born baby vaccinated with BCG injection.Today we have noticed a swelling and mostly pus around the area where the baby was injected i.e around arm.Please suggest if it is normal or urgent to visit the doctor immediately

Hi. Went through the attached photographs. This is a normal reaction. Do not worry.

This will gradually form a scab and heal by itself.

If in another 2 weeks this doesn't heal of if the swelling and redness is drastically increasing then you need to see a doctor.

This is not an emergency..

After 2 weeks you can again come for follow up with me in this forum..
