What Causes Swollen And Painful Lips?
Question: I have developed severely swollen lips as well as sides of mouth area. Painful lips. Now blistering. Ideas?

Based on your description its most likely to be cheilitis. Another close differential would be angioedema and allergic reaction especially if the onset was sudden. Antibiotics like doxycycline can be prescribed for the area involved along with topical cortisone or clobetasol. Zinc , vitamin c, folic acid and b complex vitamin deficiency should be corrected as they contribute towards worsening cheilitis. Most likely the lesion will subside with these measures.
