Question: I have a swollen purple anus. The entire anus seems puffy but more so at the top. No pain or bleeding. Is it hemorrhoids?

Brief Answer:
Yes, this might be hemorrhoids.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Can you please attach a picture of it so I can give more precise answer?
From your description it might be a hemmorrhoids. If you are unable to put them back, its IV stage hemorrhoids. You may have itching around the anus and some mucus on the toilet paper or in the stool.
The main reason of hemorrhoids is constipation, bad diet (low fiber intake), pushing hard on stool, weighting heavy objects.

Unfortunately hemorrhoids in such stage can be treated only with surgery.
That is why I suggest you to consult general surgeon or proctologist with this issue.
Surgical procedure is generally based on simple removal of hemorrhoids and putting some absorbable stitches.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

How do i attach a picture here? I cannot push the lump back it seems to be on the outside not protruding from the anus. No itching or pain or blood. The swelling comes and goes especially after bowel movements.

Brief Answer:
Stage IV hemorrhoids.

Detailed Answer:
If you can not see the option to add a picture, please send it to YYYY@YYYY and mark it for query ID 149027.
Swelling which comes and goes after bowel movements is quite characteristic for hemorrhoids. Inability to push the lump back makes it stage IV (the worst) which needs surgery for sure.
There is also a possibility that this might be anus prolapse but you are way too young for such condition.

Hope this will help.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
Hemorrhoid, but looks not that bad.

Detailed Answer:
Yes, this looks like a hemorrhoid. But it is not as bad as you have described it.
I suggest you to try mentioned above treatment first (sitz baths with Oak Bark, hemorrhoids suppositories, fiber and probiotic intake). Additionally please try to not push hard on stool and wash the rectum with water and soap after every stool.
This should help in a week or so. If not, please consult proctologist.

Regards.
