Brief Answer:
Nothing to do with your past accident, but you still need to check the cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thank you for your question on HCM,

I understand your concern. I read carefully your question.

The swelling has nothing to do with the accident you have had years before. It would be if you had problems walking, pain in the legs or numbness.

But anyway, you should evaluate the swelling.

Sometimes swelling happens at the end of the day mostly, on people who stay standing during day. This is a type of swelling not to worry about.

Other causes of swelling can be due to various origin i.e. from the kidneys. In both cases, the swelling is different, and would depend on the history and the physical examination.

So I would advise to consider seeing the swelling to your local doctor if it has been going on for some time, and if its getting worse and not better.

Hope this is helpful.
