What Causes Swollen Feet After Having High Doses Of BiCarb?

The swelling in my left foot and leg went away but came bace two days with pins and needles. Mild in right leg. I was short of breath and scared so I called the cardiologist and he advised I should go the the ER. They did a chest x-ray, CT of my abdomen and and doppler. Later a Stress test and ultrasound of my heart All clear. Albumium was on the low side of normal but down from last weeks draw which was on the high side of normal. CRP still high (8) and ESR was 21. CT showed no space occupying or compressing tumors (or none for that matter). My Cardiologist ordered a 24 hour urine test to rule out kidney involvement but radiologist said kidneys normal size and texture and blood work and urine test in hospital showed no protein in urine nor abnormal liver or kidney numbers. My foot still swollen and practically asleep.
All of this was recent unset - the pins and needles and swelling in my hands and wrists, the inflammatory markers and now the extreme swelling and pins and needles in my feet (with left so swollen I can't wear my shoes).
My questions are what remains in the differential? What doctor should be managing this? My primary has no idea. Should I go back to the rhumologist?
I see that Amalodosis or Lymodema are both on the list? Who should be managing this? Thank you for your thoughts
Also - could this be inflammation brought on by cancer and if so what tests and who should be ordering them to rule that out?
At present difficult to comment.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that lymphedema and RSD will be my differential for your issue . Cancer leading to this kind of presentation is very rare .
Is the swelling pitting in nature and how is it compared to the other leg in terms of temperature . I hope DVT has already been ruled out . It doesnt seem related yo cardiac issue .
Amyloidosis will have lot of proteinuria generally and kidney involvement will lead to swelling on both feet .
Can you please upload a pic of the swelling and is it just on the feet , also please tell if there is any history of fever at the onset or redness of swollen area . Cellulitis is also a possibilty. Please give detailed history so that we understand the issue better and help you out in best possible way and guide you accordingly .
Take care.
